For as long as I can remember, I have loved to paint and draw. It gave me great pleasure to be able to pursue this interest in a variety of settings from college courses to workshops with other artists. I have also taught drawing and painting to adults and children and I find this rewarding as well.
Most recently, I have moved to Libertyville and have enjoyed Lake Michigan, the prairies and all the wonderful art in Chicago. My studio is in my house which it is so convenient and it has some great views of the 17 acres that we are lucky enough to live on. I've been fortunate to have several commissions come my way this year. I recently painted a mural at Highland Middle School in Libertyville and my kids go by it every day! I also have been having lots of fun with "Artists on the Bluff" and just exhibited a landscape of Shinnecock Bay as part of a group show. I continue to try and find a balance between being a mom, teaching art, painting for myself and pursuing commissions for my decorative painting business.
